Myjewelryrecords.com is a secure platform for you to catalogue your jewelry pieces. It’s simple, quick and easy.
Step 1. Register or log on.
Step 2. Click “Add Jewelry Record”
Step 3. Description
Describe the piece. Include history, how/why you received the piece and any information that future generations will want to know.
Step 4. User defined
This section is ideal for identifying who you’d like to inherit the piece one day. Any personal notes and instructions. We recommend that you be consistent in how you use this field across all records because the records can be indexed to the first word in the field.
Step 5. Value
If you know the value of the piece it should be stated here. Try to be consistent in how pieces are valued. Appraised (replacement) value can be very different from the a resale value.
Step 6. Jewelry Picture
Click on the “select file” button. Find the picture on your computer and click Open.
Step 7. Appraised or estimated
Check the appropriate box. Value is either your estimate, or taken from an official appraisal or sales receipt.
Step 8. Appraised by
Fill in the name of the appraiser or company who sold the piece
Step 9. PDF document
If you have a PDF document relating to the piece it can be uploaded here in the same way as the picture was loaded.
Step 10. Save
Click Save. Your first jewelry file has been recorded.
Continue adding records in this way. There is no limit to how many pieces you can record.
